hi all

I have an application named zylab legal processing. source provided is setup.exe. and it doesnot have msi. following steps needed for installation

1) put license file after installation starts

2) shut off some services

3) put machine name when prompted and after that installation completes.

in my company batch script is used.

Anybody know how it can be automated with script.

Tried to create setup.iss but it doesn't support. also tried with setup capture and repackaging method but no luck.

Appreciate response.

Have you done any basic troubleshooting at all?  Have you identified the installation technology (perhaps from the registry settings in your capture)?  Have you even checked the vendor documentation?  If you cannot be bothered to provide full information, then why do you expect anyone to take time to guess at answers ?

Have you got any less information about why repackaging failed? There's far too much to go on here.

You said that you normally use a batch script, does that mean that you have a batch script that successfully deploys the software? If so, then you can create a zip of the batch script along with the installer files and upload that to KACE and use a managed install to have KACE install the software.

  • Chuck, I don't see a tag or any other clues indicating that the OP is using a KBox... :-(
