How to block uwanted programs.

Hi Team,

In our office environment currently we are using kace 6.3 version, and we have an issue in blocking unwanted programs. We have tried all possible ways recommended by Dell support, still no luck. If any one have faced the same issue and found a solution means please help us to solve the same in our environment.

Thanks
Raja

I've not had much luck doing that with K1000. I found Active Directory's Game Restriction OU to work much better.

I have been able to use the Disallowed Programs Policy in K1000 to block jusched.exe from launching.

If you have access to MDOP, you can use AppLocker as well.

If you plan to use, AppLocker - make sure you take the time  to architect it correctly.

Raja,

You used the Application Control function in the K1000, and it didn't work?  Did you escalate the ticket to get a final resolution from Tier 3 Support?  If you've not heard of Application Control, and how to set it up, we have a KKE on the topic (linked below).
