SYSPREP Destroys Image

Can someone give me some advice here. I am running Windows XP Corp. Edition Service Pack 2. It is about 24.5 gb in size and has Autocad 2008, Visual Studio 2005, Office 2007, and some other big packages. What my delima is, I can have my image ready for deployment; everything tested and works. I run sysprep(SP2 version just Downloaded from Microsoft) and drop it to another workstation. Autocad tried to reinstall, and I get a license error with VS 2005. When I intially started I created a "BOB" account. This is what I used to do everything, and install everything. I copied the NTUSER.DAT from this account to Default. Right now I have to table the production of this until I can get a resolution.

Your issue is that your using the new version of sysprep, it actually uses the administrator profile instead of the default user. So basically when sysprep happens it copies the administrator profile to the default user.

I found some annoying issues with the new Sysprep so I downloaded the earlier version and worked fine. But to fix your problem just move the bob profile to administrator, test it and then sysprep. You will not need to copy anything over once administrator has been setup correctly.
