Does anyone know how to get write/delete access to the MySQL server on a K1000.  We have way too many devices to delete to use the basic report / delete commands.

Quests policy is not to give out the root password, which I understand, however we should be able to create our own user that can have delete access to the database.

  • with custom ticket rules you have full access to the database.
Since this is a potential opportunity to destroy the database you should handle this with care (the same case why no backend access is given)
    • I understand to "potential opportunity", however we own the appliance. I have full admin access on the appliance and can delete things through the reports. This is slow and clunky, especially when you have 20K plus devices...
  • You should explore MIA feature which can auto delete devices if they are no longer checkin in.
