I have a problem with Kace Security Patching. Some clients are getting stuck in a loop where they are getting a prompt for the security patch and then they go through the patch then it goes back to verifying, then they get another prompt. The patching never ends and just continues.

Has anyone experienced this, and do we have some ways to troubleshoot?

Is this a Detect and Deploy schedule?  That is just the type of schedule that will loop until finished with all patches.  A Deploy will only run one pass, stopping when a reboot is required, until the next scheduled run.  You might benefit from watching our recent Patching Week KKE Series.

  • Yes it is a detect and deploy. The status says that all patches have been successfully deployed.

      Are you sure that they're aren't more patches that still need to deployed? Any that say Success102? Any that show more than 1 Patch Tries?

      • I do have some patches that say Success102, and a couple with 1 for deployment tries but none any higher than 1.
