Implementing Task Sequencing in SCCM outside of OSD

Hi,

does any one implemented Task sequencing in SCCM outside of OSD?

We would like to setup task sequencing for any given advertisement like...check for prerequisites already installed or not...if not then run that advertisement first.

Hi,

i did it a lot of times where ever required. Instead of linking the packages it so very easy to use task sequences.

Place all the programs that are required to run in one task sequence. And keep the checks. that would be much easier way to go.

Ram..

I've used Task Sequencing for many things other than OSD. I use it to do things like uninstall programs before installing different ones, checking to see if programs are installed before attempting an uninstall, etc.

Task Sequencing is very handy and you can advertise them the same as any other package.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
