Dell Optiplex 3020 and PXE boot to K2000 KBE
Has anyone successfully imaged an Optimplex 3020 (A00)? I am getting the dreaded "Unable to determine server IP address from DHCP". I have downloaded and installed the supplemental driver pack files, recached drivers, recreated my KBE, but still no luck.
I looked at a list of known issues but did not see the 3020 listed, althought not sure if the list is current... www.itninja.com/blog/view/bios-pxe-boot-issues

Thanks for the reply. In addition to the driver you posted, Kace support also had me download a new KBE driver pack, and then recache and rebuilt KBEs. Machine is now imaging. - acsepely 9 years ago

Did this download fix your issue? - Annien 9 years ago

As stated above, the combination of a Kace support supplied KBE driver pack, and the 3020 network driver link (same as from cserrins) did the trick. - acsepely 9 years ago

Since I'm new to this and it's not working for me what is the KBE Driver pack? Where do I install it? - Annien 9 years ago

So I figured that KBE Driver pack out, but I still get a System error 1231 -- so the network drivers did not install. - Annien 9 years ago

You need to install both the updated driver pack from Kace support, and the network drivers. This is done manually by putting it in the driver share on your K1000, recaching the drivers, and then rebuilding your KBE's. If you're new to this, you might want to check out some of the recorded Kace Kontinuing Education series (KKE), or just open a ticket with Kace and they can walk you through it. - acsepely 9 years ago
