Systems Management Question

Dell Command | Monitor - Managing Alerts

11/03/2016 2024 views
We deployed Dell Command | Monitor using the K1000 deployment to be utilized under the Device Details sections "Dell Command | Monitor".   The Hardware details by default is great.   However, the "Alerts" section out of the box shows the alert below several times a day; since this section does not purge, it is really cluttering up the K1000 database and is essentially useless.

Question 1:   How do I remove this alerts?

11/01/2016 17:55:17: System Administrator starting
Category: Instrumentation Service
Severity: Ok

System Administrator startup complete
Category: Instrumentation Service
Severity: Ok

System Management Data Manager Started
Category: Instrumentation Service
Severity: Ok

Question 2: How do I manage change what I would like to be alerted on?

  • Did you ever make any progress with this? Do you know how to make additional alerts that are worthwhile or add additional info to hardware info, like cpu temperature?
  • Unfortunately, I have not resolved this issue. Dell support didn't have a meaningful answer and the itninja user community seems to be declining.

It doesn't seem that there is much documentation available for this feature... that I have found.
