Hello ninja's,


I am trying to build a change management process in Kace using approval process and everything seems to be doable except i can not figure out how to change ticket status to a custom status base don approval status. I would like to have ticket change to Implementation pending upon approval and Info requested upon rejection but it doesn't seem to have those options in the process. All i get is closed and canceled. Does anyone know how can this be done?

  • It is possible, but you will need to build Custom Ticket Rules for that....

    IMPORTANT: Do not build\edit SQL queries without understanding the consequences. Incorrect SQL statements might reduce appliance performance or render it unstable.

Good luck with your challenge, the process part of KACE service Desk is not really set up to support Change Management in that, you cannot define what status you want to use and how it changes. Can I refer you to a previous blog of mine, if you need more help then please reach out and ask.
