I went to login to KACE today and noticed that suddenly my credentials are not longer valid? I tried with my normal LDAP account which is setup as an admin and I get bad username/password. I switched to the user side login and tried a common login that is used by many employees, and that fails also. So right now I am unable to login to my KACE unit at all! I had previously disabled the default admin/admin account because we have multiple admins, but none of them can login either! Is there any way to reset the default administrator account so I can see what the heck is going on in there?

  • any tips on a compatible browser? I've tried IE9, Chrome, and Firefox and still no dice. I also toggled around with IE9/8/7/Quirks modes and still failed logins!
    • all these browsers should work fine. If this fails, please try the user "admin". If this also fails, please URGENTLY contact tech support as there may be a major issue.
      If this works, check your LDAP import filters
  • I ended up calling Dell and got the issue resolved. I was trying to get incoming email working, and removed the AD user who I used to query LDAP for login information. Without this, no one could be authenticated, thus no logins. Since the default admin was disabled, I also couldn't access the kbox to see what I had done. Dell consoled into the machine, reset the admin password and I got it all squared away.
