Filderstadt, August 11, 2005 – Novell Inc.’s recent acquisition of Tally Systems Corp. of Lebanon, N.H. will bring enhanced IT asset management to companies using enteo Software Inc.’s NetInstall solutions, and strengthen the existing positive partnership between the two companies. That partnership provided comprehensive hardware and software inventory options to PC network administrators around the world.

As a result of the acquisition, this partnership is expected to expand to new OEM developments between enteo Software, Inc. and Novell by addressing the areas of network discovery, software usage analysis and software license compliance, all key components of strong IT asset management practices.

Tally Systems and enteo Software, Inc. successfully partnered for three years to bring services, such as "NetInstall inventory option," to companies requiring automated and streamlined inventory management. The renamed "enteo Inventory" has become the most widely used inventory solution in Germany and has obtained top scores in "overall product satisfaction" according to the "Client Management Market Study 2004" compiled by deron Systemhaus GmbH.

enteo Inventory is also used within the United States to help identify security risks on networks and can recognize nearly 30,000 hardware and software products. Meta Group rates the Novell recognition technology being used in enteoÂ’s Inventory Option as among the best in the world. To ensure that this remains true, the database is updated on a monthly basis.

"Tally Systems had tremendous success in working with enteo Software to offer industry-leading inventory management solutions," said Alan Murray, VP of product management and marketing at Novell. "With the completion of the acquisition, there are great new possibilities for Novell to work with enteo Software on innovative new services for IT asset management."
