I need to deploy few patches along with the base package.

Do an "Administrative Installation" and then you could apply the patch(es) to the MSI that was produced during admin install.
Depending on your deployment solution you could just install the patches in sequence after the MSI has been installed.

msfn.unattended.org has some screen dumps on slip streaming office installs etc.
