Vendor MSI and setup.exe error
Hi
I have an application which has a vndor MSI in c:\Temp folder.When I trying to install the MSI it is giving a error like the MSI should be run with setup.exe.Even after creating MST for MSI(I am using WPS 7.0) Please help me

Search AppDeploy for 'ISSETUPDRIVEN'. The many, many threads returned will answer your question.
Bear in mind that vendors will often include functionality in their set-up stubs which really ought to be in the MSI so, once you have an MSI and MST, install it, run a snapshot tool, disable the relevant 'Uninstall' registry entry (so that you can trigger a re-install and not a Repair/Modify/Remove) and then run the vendor's set-up stub again. If anything turns up in the snapshot, you'll need to add it to your package.
