Upgrade using MSI/MST?

Is it possible to upgrade only by using the old MSI and my new MST? here's the situation.
The software is already installed using MSI and MST.
However, I need to add 1 file and so I edited the MST and add the file but we don't want to reinstall the installed software, they only want an upgrade to copy the needed file.

Yes possible by using Upgrade table, but only if you change ProductCode (ProductCode chnaging isn't good practice).

In your case better to create MSP file as difference between first MSI+MST and the latest MST+MST.

Anyway the best solution is uninstallaing via centralized solution and installaing new version agagin.

You can try one of the below. I suppose this should work for you.

msiexec /fv <msipath>.msi ADDSOURCE=ALL

msiexec /i <msipath>.msi REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus
