Upgrade installation not installing files for a component
Hi
I am doing a major upgrade for my MSI. However, after upgrade files under 1 particular components are not getting installed. this was working fine earlier. I have noticed that the size of the file in the upgrade installation has been reduced.
Any clues.

Do the files have version information i.e. are they EXEs, DLLsor OCXs and, if not, is the date and time stamp of each earlier or later than the installed copies?

it is a exe file. time stamp is changed in the upgrade installation and it was also changed in earlier upgrades

got the solution. version information was missing from the file which was not getting installed. i got the new file and things are working.
