Unable to creat transform for a msi package
Hi,
I am trying to create a transform for an msi package. but when iselect the source mis it shows as failed to open document. Due to this i am unable to create the transform. Kindly advice how to create the transform for this msi. The Application name is Citrix Presentation Server.

What tool are you using to transform it? Can you open the MSI in Orca?

I appreciate that you're new to packaging but are you serious?
It's very, very simple - your authoring tool is unable to open the MSI. Why that might be, no-one here will have a single clue because, as far as I know, none of us have psychic powers. Use a process/file/registry monitor to see what's happening.

There is a known problem with a particular version of the ICA client MSI not opening in Wise - maybe this is related.

Hi,
I am able to open the source msi using the orca tool and using orca i am creating the transform by applying some properties as per the standards. My question is that why the source msi is not able to open in wise package when the same is able to install the application properly? Then how acan we create a transform for the source msi?

Report it to both Wise and Citrix - there have been similar problems with other Citrix packages not opening with Wise but fine when opened with Orca.

Yes that is correct, Wise has some problem opening the ICA client due to unicode.
