Tuner failed

Hi!

i have a problem with making mst file, i open turner, create new transform, chouse my msi and response tranform,after that i get error faild transform and no msi database is currently opened. is there a way hove to obain that, i also tryed manualy thru installshield, but there i can write all my credentials. please help

have you tried using orca to create the mst

who is the vendor of the msi

I tried different ways, no luck, after some how created mst file, installed it using transforms, but i get no shortcuts, no all files, I`m just lost, i dont know what to do

Is it a third party vendor supplied MSI or one that you've created?

Also I assume you've checked that the MSI installs without error.

Assuming you're trying to insert stuff you can also input in the dialogs when you don't run a silent install, it might be easier to look directly at the dialogs, find the properties associated with the different textboxes / radiobuttons etc and add these manually in the MSI with the correct values, then save as MST.

Also modify some standard stuff like AgreeToLicense = Yes and ALLUSERS=1 (or what you prefer, 1 is per-machine install)

As I've said before I find the amount of junk that gets injected when you do a response transform to be staggering...

I founde the reason by my self,there was install level high, so I change it to 1 and it is now installing, offcorse with erors,but that is allredy different story, any way thanks for respond all of you :)
