System Profile Tip

I have read in here where some msi installs put data into the installing users profile and when that is the system profile used by gp installs its just gone. Not so, the system profile exists just like any other profile, just not where you expect it to be. For XP it is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile. I found this when troubleshooting an app that in its healing process tried to copy data from a location but could not access it. As most know limited users cannot read another users profile and the systemprofile is even worse, default permissions are Administrators and SYSTEM = full control. Adding the authenticated users read access to this profile fixed the issue with copying data from the application data and the app now works. Hope this helps some out there.
