SCCM 2012 Operating System Image Takes forever to Distribute

Hi

I created a task sequence  for Deployment of an existing XP SP3 Image I captured in SCCM 2012.
Size is 9GB.The problem i have is that the content distribution of the Operating Images shows "in progress" but never completes.I have left it longer than a day and still the same issue.
Also tried redistributing the content to no avail.

I have also created a clean base image of about 900MB and I deployed it succesfully.

All the machines are on the same lan.

Any help appreciated

I ended up going to the "Operating System Images" image properties
Checked "Enable binary differential replication" box on the "Data Source" tab
Checked "Copy the content in this package to a ..." box on the "Data Access" tab

Clicked "Update Distribution Points" came back in the morning and it was successful this time.
