Repackaging issue when replacing files

Hello,

I've got a issue when trying to repackage an application. I cannot replace one of the application files because of modified date attribute.
For example, I want to replace a file named EDCDOC.DB. His modified date is 07/08/2009. When I try to replace this file on computer where the modified date is older, it fails.

I'm using Wise Installer 6.0 to create the package and I've tried to add "Vital" attribute to the file through Wise but nothing chenged.

Can anyone help me with this kind of issue, because I really don't have any idea to solve.

Thanks for your answer

By far and away the easiest way to resolve issues like this is to add the recalcitrant file to the RemoveFile table. That will the file's deletion as the RemoveFiles action occurs before InstallFiles.

Thanks for your answer VBScab,

Could you help me a little bit more by explaining how to add the recalcitrant file to remove table ? I think the only way to do such things is manually, isn't it ?

Read this MSDN article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa371201(VS.85).aspx and then use the Wise GUI to create a new 'RemoveFile' component.
