Removing adobe 4.0 and 5.0 using a transform

Is this possable ? to remove adobe reader 4.0 or 5.0 using a transform when installing
adobe standard 7.0 ?

Yes, but how you do it depends on how Adobe 4.0/5.0 were installed. We repackaged 5.1 as an MSI and therefore were able to add that information to the upgrade table of version 7 using a transform.

That makes it a lot trickier then. I would probably try to come up with a custom action that calls the uninstall string from the control panel. Whether that would work or not depends on whether there is a way to silence the uninstall process.

Check:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

For your uninstall string.
