Registry permissions change via subinacl.exe

Hi Everyone,

I am working with one of the custom PKGs and I need to change permissions for local users. I am using subinacl.exe

subinacl.exe /subkeyreg "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.run" /grant=ComputerName\Users=F and it dose not work. I am local Admin for this machine.

Anyone have any idea how to change Reg permissions from CMD line?

Thanks an advance

This is my 'favourite' routine for doing permissions. I dunno if this will help you, but if you check it out, I think you'll see why.

The older version is here (which is the one I'm using):

Hi Robb I used subinacl.exe and it worked. I had to download a newer version of tools from Microsoft site. It's a nice utility, a lot better than regini. It takes care of Global and Local User accounts and very easy to use, more flexible.

Thanks a lot for your respond, I really appreciated.

I need to modify the permissions for C:\.
The problem is that both subinacl.exe and setacl.exe don't work. I can modify permissions for every folder/file but not for the ROOTDRIVE.

Can you help me on this one?
