Need to push out a web shortcut. I thought I would be able to do this under distributions and quickly learned that it doesn't seem to support stand alone files just installers for certain programs? Anyone have any luck getting this to work with Kace before?

I would use the Desktop shortcut wizard under Scripting, Configuration Policies. This will create a script that will create the shortcut using the specified parameters...

Create the shortcut on your computer, compress it in a .ZIP file, and Sync the zip file with the SMA through file synchronization in Distributions.

  • Having hard time added a website to chrome shortcut for script template.

With File synchronization it looks like I only have ability to sync it with my replication servers, and for distribution it seems I can only do software from "software" and "Software catalog"
    • NVM, added a new tab parameter to the standard chrome shortcut and working great.
