This is a broad question, but I'm just curious if anyone is using Kace for patching?  We are currently using Kace for patching, and we would like to know how the Kace community determines that patching is working correctly?  Perhaps giving some suggestions for reporting.  Thanks!

  • Thanks for the info JasonEgg! Were are using version 7.0.121306. Unfortunately we found out this week that our new updated agents are not taking inventory. Kace support is currently helping with that issue. That is why i submitted the question, because we felt as though our K1000 was not patching and come to find out it wasn't.

Welcome, rpsolis! What version of KACE are you using? If you go to Security > Catalog and select "Show: Applicable Patches" and "View By: All Patches" do you see the built-in patch status values?

Here are some helpful reports (you may have to customize for your environment): http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/kace-patch-report-for-installed-patches-past-week-and-missing-patches-for-label
