Packaging applications without any raw media
Hi all,
I am trying to package applications without any raw media i.e. they are installed on a particular desktop and i have to package it completely.
Can anyone suggest an innovative solution for this.

Hi Sidhart
The only tool I know to make a package out of an installed app is ApplicationWatch which is included in Wise Package Studio. I never used it yet so I can't tell you if it really works. As far as I know, you need to use every single function within the app so that ApplicationWatch sees everything that is needed for the app to run on your machine...

No idea if this would work, but.....
What if you take an image of the PC
Then uninstall the software
Take a before snapshot
Bakup the before snapshot files
Restore the image
Restore the before snapshot files
Take an after snapshot...
or...
Would it work if you took a before snapshot
Uninstalled the software
Took an after snapshot
And then inverted the file removes to file copies, registry removes to registry adds etc?
or...
Take a clean machine and snapshot it
Then start copying over the files and registry settings from the machine the software is installed on until you get to a point where the software works on the clean machine.
Now take an after snapshot
