Norton AV managed with console

Hi.
at my job we manage over 5000 machines all with norton 8x and some with 9. Now we have a machine dedicated to provide updates and everything relaed to norton. we call it norton-svr, now some machines are beign managed by this box running symantec server for av.
The problem: We need to install a grp.dat file in every machine under
X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5, but we need to stop unload the av and then enabled it back without having to go to every machine as the network team have us doing now.

Is there a way to automate the process, pls help

why can't you push it from the console?

If you have to, "net stop <service name>"

...update the file

then, "net start <service name>"

All bets are off if it's password protected - it's either console or sneakernet.
