Nested Installation with 2 msi & 2 MST?

What is the prefered method of installing msi which are getting installed one after other ?

This all depends on the method of deployment. In Altiris we tend to use one job with multiple tasks in the order we want them to execute.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
