MMS.CFG for Shockwave 10
Is it possible to use the same mms.cfg file to disable automatic updates for Shockwave like for Flash Player?

Not sure if this thread is still alive, but wanted to post what I came across in the Adobe forums;
Check out the post here [http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=44&catid=185&threadid=1356308&enterthread=y] dated 5/7/2008;
Looks like Shockwave references the HKLM and copies any registry settings over to HKCU [similar to Windows Active Setup] on the first configuration.
Hope this helps.

Ah-ha,
The final section isn't actually a bug. Just behaviour I never noticed before. Basically the initial settings in HKLM are copied to HKCU. Because I had installed and tested before switching off the auto-update, it didn't propagate to my test account...
Cheers,
Mike
