Systems Management Question

Microsoft Userinit key in the Reg

08/13/2019 263 views

I see that Kace modifies the: 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit' key.

Can that key be restored to the original value? That will remove the Kscript.exe

  • Yes but you will not be able to perform certain tasks, such as scripts\managed installs that are triggered\loaded at logon.

Yes, go on your SMA to Settings > Provisioning > Communication Settings.

Check the "Disable Wait for boot up" and "Disable wait for login" tasks option.
