Is there anyway i can push a registry key as a task on Kbox2000?

I have a ODBC registry key i need to be adding to a set of computers for a new content management system we are about to go live with and i was wondering if there was anyway to setup a task sequence to install the registry key during the post install tasks?   Tried uploading the registry key and running the command regedit.exe /s name.reg but it just fails and I just cant seem to a find a good way to deploy this registry key in line with the new computers getting installs.  Any ideas would be much appricated.

Why don't you get the command, input it into a .bat file, run it on your own machine and test it actually worked, then just upload the .bat file to the K2000 box and run it in your install?

  • I did that instead and that worked much better, thank you not sure why I didn't think about using a batch file in the first place. - aaronb09 10 years ago
