Do I have to create a service agreement asset for each asset type?

  • That should work. Depends on the type of functionality and integration you are looking to achieve. Either Assets or create a new queue and enter them in ticket form.
  • Would recommend custom ticket queue over asset. Gives you more flexibility than asset. Think of asset as a single row in an excel file. If I can do it in a single row in excel than asset is perfect.
