Is there a script to install Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4) through K1000 without the msi file?

I am trying to use the .exe file to push out the update for Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4).  Is there a way to do it with the .exe file and not the .msi file?

  • Where did you get that AdbeRdr1004_en_US.exe? The one I downloaded install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe. Do you think this one will work? - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
    • No you have to get the full installer from Adobe's ftp:
      ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.04/en_US/ - nheyne 10 years ago
      • Do you happen to also have the latest full installer of Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.168? Or, do you know where I could get it? - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
    • You can get some of the free installers here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/ - nheyne 10 years ago
    • Hmm you're right, I found it here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header - nheyne 10 years ago
  • This is pretty funny. I just tried it and it said that it successfully deployed. I look in the Installed Programs and it is not there. I look on the workstation itself and it is not there. Don't I have to put something in to remove the old version? - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
    • I'm not sure on that, I used the above as a full install, not an update. - nheyne 10 years ago
  • Great. It looks like that worked. Thank you. - tsienkiewicz@ldirx.com 10 years ago
