Is it possible to apply an msi template to a vendor msi
How can this be done via Wise Package Studio 7 ?

It can be done. Are you going to create a transform or you want to apply the template directly to the vendor msi? But if the template is applied and dialog boxes are changed you might not get the support from the vendor.

Why even discuss the option? Do not edit vendor MSIs, period. In [mumble, mumble] years of packaging, I have yet to encounter a situation where I couldn't use a transform to achieve what I wanted. Of course, sometimes that means using alternative tools (Business Objects 6.5 causing WPS v7 to choke, anyone?) but...
