Install Vidyo Desktop Silently

I am trying to deploy VidyoDesktop silently and it is not co-operating. I have tried -s at the end of the .exe and no luck. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt

With version 2.2 I have found the /S switch worked.  At first run (signing into the web portal) they are requested to put thier password in for the client and then it's all good.

I have not found a way to include an install config for the options page.

Cheers

Bob Kelly touched on something that might help in his recent Packaging webex session. I used to have a link to a website that told how to do this as well, but I can't seem to find it right now, but it's pretty simple.

1. Run the executable like normal. And when it pulls up and asks for you to click next don't do anything.

2. Go to %TEMP%

3. You'll see your temp folders, look for one recently created, it may have ~Setup at the end of it. Inside the folder you'll find all the files you need as well as the MSI that you can run like normal.

It doesn't work every time, but it's awesome when it does. I've also been able to extract MSI files from an EXE before with WinRAR, though I think that was just a lucky case as I haven't been able to do it since.

For version 3.5.2.017 I use /S

NB: This HAS to be capital!

Also be aware that the installer puts everything into the %appdata%\local\vidyo so if you don't want this then use /MULTI_USER to make it use %PROGRAMFILES%

Example:

VidyoDesktopUserInstaller-win32-TAG_VD_3_5_2_017.exe /MULTI_USER /S
