I repackage a exe file to a singel msi. now when i whan to run to app Ig et the error in event log "msi .net runtime 2.0 error id 1000" but only on windows xp (32) on windows 7 it runs

Is there some reason why you are unable to use Google for this type of thing?
One XP machine or many?
All users or only one?
Did you perform a gap capture after creating your MSI, to make sure you didn't miss something?
The first hit points to a hot-fix available from Microsoft but, if you read further, you should be able to deduce that running the application under a different user account may point to the need for the hot-fix or not.

yes i did. on win 7 it works;/ bo not on XP
i google it but i got all updates of .net ;/
