A scripted approach will be a nightmare. Ask me how I know...

Why not simply use whatever deployment system you currently use to install the apps to uninstall them instead?!? For Group Policy, remove the computers from the deployment group so that they fall out of scope and the app will be uninstalled. For SMS/SCCM, any packager/sysadmin will have created an uninstall package/task alongside the install package/task. The same applies to most other deployment tools.

USe the inventory information to create a managed install that that runs the uninstall command only.  The command would typically be something like:

msiexec /x product.msi /qn
or
msiexec /x productgui /qn

Do you use any distribution tool?  with 1800 computers this is probably the case..

How did you distribute / installed the needed applications on those computers in the first place?

Are they installed by your deployment tool?
