Group Policy affecting local services

I have an issue where workstations are sporadically losing all contact with the network. From looking at the workstations their services are not starting for no valid reason. The clients are all XP and they all receive the same GPO's from the same OU. I have found that if I leave them off of the network for a period of time when I reconnect them they will "fix" themselves.

I think that it is a policy that is causing this, but why not all the workstations? Also does anyone know what policy would do this?

Thanks in advance for help!

have you check to see if there is a DHCP lease? how many ip addresses are still available

What is being displayed in the Event Viewer on the effected computer and your domain controllers?
