Hello,

At the moment I am busy scripting 'InfoConnect 8'. It is a vendor MSI with upgrades from previous versions.

On a PC we have 'InfoConnect 2001' and this one is upgraded to 'InfoConnect 8'. That goes perfectly, no problems. But during a test, we would like to return to 'InfoConnect 2001'. So I decided to uninstall 'InfoConnect 8'. And what happend: InfoConnect 2001 has not been restored to its previous state.

Question 1: What do I have to do to get InfoConnect 2001 back to its orgininal state?

Now I made an third package: 'InfoConnect 2001 PV' which is an upgrade of 'InfoConnect 8'. It is perfectly installed (REINSTALLMODE=amus). It has a new Product Code and upgrade code. But if I would like to install 'InfoConnect 8' than 'InfoConnect PV' has not been upgraded. Of course not, as this PC and UC are not mentioned in InfoConnect 8.

Question 2: What do you prefer: method 1 or method 2?
