folder security settings with Wise

hi all,

i need to change the security of a folder, INSTALLDIR in fact, but i don't know how to correctly apply it.

if i right-click the folder and go to details, i can change it but the problem is that all other rights are gone after the installation. by default, there is security for Power users, Administrators, and such. after installing my msi, i can see only SYSTEM and the one i've set from the msi.

is there a way to add what i want without modify the existing security?

thanks!

Is there a way that you can be forced to use the facilities that are right in front of you before posting? Permissions as a subject has been done to death here and elsewhere. Use the search facility.

When you apply security permissions through an MSI, it wipes all the existing permissions on the folder and writes only the ones specified in the LockPermissions Table.

Basically you need to add all the users and their permissions that you want to be applied to the folder into your MSI.
