Error 24592 was returned by WinVerifyTrust." I receive the above message trying to install Rosetta Stone on my laptop. I already installed it without a problem on another laptop but cannot install on mine. I am running Vista Home Version. Is there a fix for this?

This may sound bizarre but you should:
- clear out any junk in %TEMP% and %SystemRoot%\TEMP
- clear out Internet Explorer's temporary files.
- download the files on to a different machine (to attempt to bypass any caching that may be taking place).

Then try re-installing.

Do you mean install Rosetta Stone on a different machine?

No, I mean download it to a different one but run it from that location on the offending target.

Sometimes, your local IE cache, any network cache or even a cache at your ISP could be holding on to a corrupt file so we can at least eliminate the local cache by using a completely different machine.

BTW, this is yet another good reason for using VMs/VPCs/VirtualBoxes for packaging: you ditch the local cache each time you step back to a snapshot.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
