Disabling popup during shortcut launch for toad for db2 app.
Hello,
I am repackaging Toad for DB2 4.0.x.x. It is a vendor msi.
My msi runs in UI mode but it fails silently. What could be the possible reasons for it.
Also when I launch shortcut, A popup comes saying " A new version for this app is available. Would u like to go to download page?"
What is the registry entry to disable this popup?
Any help ????

you have a custom action in the UI sequence that runs when you install in UI mode
make an entry for that CA in the installexecute sequence table for silent installation via an mst
regarding the pop up install your msi on a clean image ie (vm or ghost)
run a capture when you launch the shortcut to see what regkey is created
add regkeys via mst
self heal the keys if they are hkcu
