Differ B/W Win7 and Win Xp .?

Hi All ,

Thanks In Advance, what is the main difference b/w Windows 7 and Windows XP to do application packaging/repacking (Wise Package Studio ) . can any one explain plz...................!

It depends on the context of your question and what packaging tools you are using. I'd suggest you read up on UAC for starters.

... and not wishing to overload you too much at this stage, but remember that you need to take a lot more notice of the 64-bit version of Windows 7 than you ever would with Windows XP 64-bit ... there is *much* more of the former out there than the latter. Only the very latest version of WPS really cuts it when it comes to packaging for 64-bit deployments on Windows 7.

win7--->5.0 and above
xp------>up to 4.0

folder structure is different
win7--->users
xp------>Documents and settings

Registry structures diff

win 7 has UAC
