I am working in a small-medium shop, but because we are a non-profit, we don't have many resources. I am looking into solutions to ease managing our desktops (net based inventory, deploying apps, ghosting, etc). I got WSUS installed fairly painlessly so Updates aren't an issue. We are using AD on W2K3.

I was recently looking at WinInstall DMS from OnDemand. Looks pretty nice so far, and the price is reasonable. But other than the LE version, I haven't seen much about it here.

If anyone has any info (or recomendations), it would be much appreciated. I have also looked into Track-IT, Prism, EMCO, and a variety of methods to "roll your own."

Install Solutions has a great suite of tools for deploying software, querying Active Directory and remote computers on a smaller scale and doesn't require a client to be installed on the remote desktops or server hardware. They are priced just right for small-med businesses. Even if you decide to go with a bigger product in the long run they make a great addition.
