Delete Quick Launch Icons from a command line

I am trying to delete quick launch icons via a command line. Does anyone know if this is possible and how?

Scary question...in that you display an alarming lack of knowledge about Windows configuration for somebody who's about to delete a bunch of data!

Anyway, the 'Quick Launch' toolbar is just a folder and the "buttons" are standard shortcuts in that folder. It lurks in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer.

Thanks for the help. I do have one more question. Is it possible to remove the icon, so it will not appear in any future users? If not, can Internet Explorer 8 be removed from the computer in the unattended.xml file as part of a scripted install?

"the icon"? Shall we guess which icon you're referring to?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
