Custom action to run Setup.exe - error 2762.
Hi.
I'm trying to set up a cusom action to run a setup.exe /S command based on the outcome of an Appsearch function.
(i.e if the software is not installed, the msi will execute a setup.exe process).
Every time I run the installation I am getting an "Error 2762: Unable to schedule operation. The action must be scheduled between InstallInitialize and InstallFinalize."
I have checked the sequence and the action definitely appears to be between InstallInitialize and InstallFinalize.
I'm not sure what to try so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Running the validations pointed me in the right direction. It was actually my Appsearch function that was in the wrong place.
