  • upload the 2008 media into the library and proceed like you are deploying a win 7 scripted install with that media
  • Forgot to mention. I didn't build none of the deployment, the person the created them is no longer with the company.
  • DO i have to create a new boot enviroment? how do i get a copy of windows 8 uploaded to kbox 2000?
    • These might help to get you started. http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/article/kace-kontinuing-education-k1000-and-k2000-recordings
  • your boot should work
You must use the K2000 Media Manager and an installation disk or a mounted ISO image to install the operating system using installation or source files.
    see http://www.kace.com/support/resources/documentation k2000 admin guide section 3
    • what version is your kbox?
  • K2100 3.4.54256
    • you mentioned windows 8, that will require you to update the kbox to 3.5
  • Windows server 2008 X64
    • sorry I was referring to this comment
DO i have to create a new boot enviroment? how do i get a copy of windows 8 uploaded to kbox 2000?
    • you will need a 64bit winpe 3.1 boot environment uploaded and the media for 2008x64 to start
  • If your company can cut loose with some $$$ it may be worth to bring a trainer in to help you and the other staff to learn about the Kace. They will give good hand holding training for newbies, they came into house when we first got the box and it was worth it to us.
    • Yes we took k1000 training and in furure we will be looking into k200 training e but i don't it would be so soon. Until then will have to learn online
      • If your company ever had a Jumpstart for the K2000 you should be able to get the recordings by contacting training@kace.com.
