Can anyone help me to locate where to put Product ID, Key and customize setting on SCCM 2012

I need help with the following:

-Where can I put on application my product ID and Product Key.
-Need to change setting, where should I put on my application package
-I know I will have a Licence.conf and setting.conf files. I do not know where and how to blend with my application that I created on SCCM.

Thanks in Advance.

  • any clues on the name??? if you know about the config files, you may get away with simply copying them down with SCCM, that works very nicely if they are machine based files (NOT in the users profile) - Badger 8 years ago

SCCM is a deployment system. It doesn't care about configuring the application being deployed. For that, you'll need to alter the package. How you do *that* depends on the particular application's installer. Some provide command line arguments that can be passed to the installing executable, some provide access via a text file, and so on. Nowadays, the majority use Windows Installer, encapsulating the package in an MSI file (albeit occasionally - and confusingly! - wrapped in an EXE). For these, you can create what's called a transform which applies delta changes to the original MSI, the editing of which is strongly advised against.
