Arkadin Plugin for Outlook

Hi guys,

We are in the process of trialling Arkadin's Outlook plugin 3.4.0.4 but noticed that there is not an easy way to remove the "auto-update" capability.
Has anyone come across this? We're looking to include this as part of the MSI installl i.e. with a reg file or MST otherwise we'll use a GPO to control this.

I had a look at what's listed on ITNinja so far but it's not what I am looking for.

Any help would be appreciated...

Surely the vendor is the best place to go with that question?

You may not be able to remove or disable it. If that's the case, simply find out the URL that it goes to and block it/have it blocked by your firewall.

Lastly, please remove your duplicate post.

Comments:
  • We did actually ask the Vendor directly before I posted on here.

Their response was that it would have be a paid for customisation...

The URL thing may pose more difficulties as it's used for both the web updates and I think some degree of hosting.

    - I did remove the duplicate post, sorry for the inconvenience. - ambrish7 6 years ago

Jeeeeeeez! Way to shill your customers, Arkadin!

What planet do these people live on? No business should let vendors update software unsupervised! I'd be looking at alternatives after *that* conversation!!
