Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

Hey Guys,

having a bit of a nightmare trying to get this application to run as a user.

The main problem I'm having at the moment is the application requires activation over the web/telephone. When I run as admin, it brings up the dialog for activation but as a user, it says i have to hold admin privileges.

I think the activation is per user because activating as admin won't necessarily work as a user.

I've tried a silent install with response file, but this doesnt work with this particular application.

Tried opening up registry with full rights, full rights to all folders etc. RegMon, FileMon show nothing.

The only way i can get it to work is to add the user to the administrators group.

BTW, I've captured the source media and have created an MSI(thats what i'm trying to install). There is no problems running the application as a user when I've installed the source media....

Any Help, as always, greatly appreciated!! [8D]

Have you tried running Filemon/Regmon during the activation phase? It must be writing some information somewhere. If you can narrow it down to a file, it may be as simple as adding that file to your package.

yup, tried regmon & filemon during initial attempt at activation, highlighting anything 'denied', but nothing shows once I've permissioned the few reg keys etc that need permissioning.

i've hit the proverbial brick wall.
