ActiveX Control issue

Hi,

I am doing some webapp, I am getting this prompt on top, to help protect your security internet explorer has restricted this file from showing activex controls, please tell me how to get rid of it.

Hi rileyz and Angel, Thank You both. My Manager said I don't need to worry about ActiveX popup as long as I am able to allow blocked content. I will give you a point each for helping me out. Thank You.

More of a PC config issue.

Add it to the IE trusted sites, the double check that the trusted sites allow ActiveX controls.

Enterprise solution: do the above in a GPO.

 

..Or is this showing up after you register the control?

Make sure to set the correct (REG_DWORD) value for the "Compatibility Flags" entry under "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\<{CLSID of ActiveX Component}>"
